Fr. Peter is very intelligent and has been active in opposing the effort of Rome and the Phanar occurring in Crete last year. He is currently teaching at Jordanville at the ROCOR bogoslov there. Things have come to a crux in that the Phanar is pushing the Crete council as ecumenical and demanding the silencing, excommunication and eviction (on Athos) of those opposed to the heterodox phronema evidenced by the documents that emerged from it.
It is a troubling situation.
