If the Russian Church is to replenish the spiritual health of society, it cannot simply rely on infrastructure and centralized institutions. It needs, to use the language of Burke, the little platoons of parishes across the land to engage the enemy on the field of every man’s soul. A vibrant parochial system, God willing, will do wonders for the reconversion of Russia.
