Thank you so much for sharing! I have uploaded the PDF file to our church’s UOC website.
]]>Thanks, Fr. Hans. I guess it would help if I would actualy read the whole article before I comment! I agree that it was a great lecture (as all of Fr. Andrew’s are) with a message that needs to be heeded by all of us Orthodox Christians in North America.
]]>Thank God for Fr Andrew’s conviction! When I was received into the church in 2002 I was shocked to hear so many Orthodox Christians (including clergy) say that the church does not share the Gospel with others, but “allow te Holy Spirit to lead others to the church”. While I completely agree with this statement, I do believe it is our responsibility to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with others. I pray that our bishops heart’s will be quickened to respond to this clarion call! There is so much we can be doing to bring the Truth to others. I pray that this pamphlet will be translated into numerous languages. I was amazed to hear that 86 % of those who join the church were brought to church by a family mber or friend (only 2% from advertising)! I appreciate Fr Andrew’s encouragement that formation starts with ourselves and that through such formation the believer will be inspired to live a more ascetical life and his schedule will be planned according to the liturgical calendar. I hope that the work of Fr Andrew and that of the priest of blessed memory, Fr Daniel of Moscow will be studied and applied in parishes across the globe, so that we might truely respond to the great commission!
