Namee’s analysis is highly recommended. Regardless, he (like Krindatch) paints a picture of marked demographic decline. I was going to say stagnation but that would be disingenuous. Going from 700,000 total in 1947 to 300,000 today is not stagnation. (Notice, I do not use the 500,000 figure for the GOA but the 125,000 number.)
A minor quibble: In retrospect, I wish that Krindatch had not included the non-Chalecedonian Christians, as it muddies the picture somewhat.
