What’s funny about this is that we laymen are constantly exhorted to “repent.” Entire sermons are given on the meaning of metanoia and how it means “a change of will” more than simply feeling sorry for our sins.
Again, if what you’re saying is true, it’s ironic that so many prelates and clerics in the GOA don’t feel that metanoia applies to them.
