The Hollywood propaganda machine has been working for decades now. Television and mainstream media have changed culture and politics. What is regarded as entertainment is a vehicle for propaganda and a subtle way of re-engineering culture and society. Unless addressed in a larger and more general context (like above ” Moral Limits of Human Sexuality”) or specifically pointed out that the gay population is around 1.4%, my impression is that we help along with the propaganda.

]]>If I may, the encyclical is not simply about homosexuality. While he does address the question, his Beatitude examines homosexuality within the context of marriage and (more importantly) the universal call of all Christians to a life of holiness rooted in repentance.
