This is where I think Church leaders are far too compromised and don’t mean business. Want to shut down Barack Obama and never have any politician in the next 25 years even think of forcing this again? Threaten to pull all chaplains out of the military effective immediately and to strongly encourage all laity to leave the military as soon as possible and for younger laity to not join up. A mass exodus from the military would literally cripple it and destroy the careers of the politicians who pushed this legislation. The Founding Fathers pointed out that freedoms were never secured by a piece of paper. They have to be secured by either the threat of a violent overthrow or through non-violent protest.
The problem of course is that probably nothing like a majority of Christians would be on board with this, especially if they see no issue with contraception personally. Never mind that this is a clear attack on all religious freedom in the US. But this goes back to the rot at the core of Catholicism. Obama is attacking a weak target.
