Anyway, a person mention in Tactius Annals called Pomponia Graecina and her husband a Roman general Aulus Plactius were mention because of the wife’s eastern supersition. Later on someone name Pomponius Gracius name appears in a catacomb inscription maybe 2nd century and possibly a descent of a freedman of Pomponia Graecina’s family. Also, the Roman Catholic church believes that Pomponia Graecina was bapitzed with the name Lucina. The catacombs are interesting not only since they have earlier icons but also might explain some passages of secular roman history mention above or early church writings.

When I visited the catacomb of St Seb back in 1992 I saw writing in latin that mention Paul and Peter. It was too dark to see the art work. Anyway, the article mentions that the representation of the Apos here is different from later Byzantine art. The apos are younger including Paul, Peter, John, and Andrew. Christ as the good shepard which of course is the older represenation instead as the Pancrator in Orthodox art or crucified Christ in Roman Catholic art.
