He trusts the conclusions of his mind and his thoughts and defends them. He thinks that he figured out everything, and firmly believes that a society can function without God. A society without God is a collection of individuals who have strong faith in their own minds. Often, such collection of thought can become contradictory, as conflicting thoughts clash.The final authority has to be imposed by a handful of self-declared, self-elected and most likely self-imposed authority. It can’t be much different than Communism and Fascism.
He decided, by the power of his own will, to be steadfast in his opinion. A logical mind should not refrain from asking: What if I am wrong? What if the immortal soul exists? Won’t the price of deception be too high?
