]]>Alyosha, I struggle in the same way. I try to remember that one way in which God is good is that He does not make His mercy or salvation dependent on how we feel. Those blessings continue even when we fall into the inward hole. And even our boring routine can become prayer in action if we carry it out with love as a humble offering to Him. In this way and in many others, He allows us to know redemption and peace in the midst of the world’s chaos and futility.
