Hans wrote this recently on another forum, in part: “Secularism is not a coherent and thus sustaining belief system. Why? Because It’s merely a layover from one historical epoch to another. In the end, ideological secularists will either rediscover their Christian roots or capitulate to the strong man (could be Islam, could be authoritarianism/totalitarianism).”

My intuition is that he is correct. Why is it the folk that won’t negotiate with their legal process, they’ll accommodate and submit to?

I would really welcome an article that quite clearly connects the dots. An article that takes the reader by the hand from things one can check to this conclusion.

It is well worth reading, although it seems to have been written in haste, and perhaps even better examples might have been used to illustrate his major points, and his conclusions that young people might be better served by getting an education through the internet might be a little simplistic. But he is spot on in diagnosing the problems within the academic community. Having lived through these eras, I can testify as to what happened in the l960s and beyond. There is such an enforced conformity within the academic community, especially in the liberal arts and social sciences that anyone who dissents can literally be shunned or left without tenure. It’s almost totalitarian in its implications. God save us all.

Hispanics have a very high uninsured rate and some Asian groups like Koreans tend to be self-employed. So while the Republicans like Bush like the growth of Hispanic immigrants since he thought they were more social conservative he never thought that they tended to be poor and could add into stats by Democratic about the uninsured.
