In fact, one really has to question the morality of petitioning a government like Egypt’s as they will likely make some show of arrests which means torturing and oppressive imprisonment of political opponents (whether or not they are the actual source or cause of the problem). “Justice” in Egypt does not mean the same thing as it does in Australia. I certainly understand the sentiment, but I think other responses (such as funding political resistance among the Copts in Egypt) is the way to go…
