Unity is needed in one sense: heretical churches repent of their deviations from the truth of Orthodoxy, forget non-saints like Dioscorus and Severus, be rebaptized or chrismated, and then there is unity. Beyond that, all of it is people-pleasing treason to the perfect faith the Fathers live and died for, and passed down to our own troubled epoch. Orthodoxy or death.

I was uld be interested to know if the author addressed the fact that we don’t share the same sants. In fact some that we recognise as saints, they anathematize and the other way around.

Full unity would require the reconciliation of this dilemma.

Unity would be nice maybe even a good thing but it not easy. NM
