This belief is based on the words of our Lord, Who, shortly before His death on the Cross, promised His disciples that He would come again. ;Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. (2) In my Father’s house there are many dwelling places; but if not, I would have told you, because I am going away to prepare a place for you. (3) And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to myself, so that where I am, you may be also. (4) And you know the way where I am going (John 14:1-4).
