Bobby Jindal, governor of Louisiana and a convert from Hinduism to Roman Catholicism, quoted in Newsweek (Dec. 2008) on religion: “If I wanted the aesthetics without the inconvenient morality, I could become Episcopalian.”

    You know alot of people are today berating Governor Jindal in comparison to the lofty and ambiguous rhetoric of the President. They are also trying to paint him as stupid. However, Jindal definitely comes across to me as more the more virtuous politician and leader. He can govern and the fact that he does not apologize for his religious beliefs shows he is a man of intellect and conviction.

    Jindal is never going to win over the media but then again no serious Christian in America will ever become a media darling. Governor Jindal is certainly a man of principled stewardship.

    Perhaps, but the Roman Catholic Church is always just one bad Pope away from being the Episcopal Church.
